The Northwood, Nottingham and Strafford School Districts are responsible for educating children from kindergarten through high school. Each district operates an Elementary School to provide kindergarten thru 8th grade instruction.
Northwood and Strafford School Districts have tuition agreements with Coe-Brown Northwood Academy to be the high school for all students of high school age for these two towns. Consequently, students who live in/move into these towns automatically become Coe-Brown students barring very unusual circumstances. Nottingham School District has Dover High School as the school of record as well as a Memorandum of Understanding with Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, currently giving these students an option.
Families of high school aged students moving into the towns of Northwood, Nottingham and Strafford are required to complete a “High School Assignment Form” and “Proof of Residency Form”, which may be obtained from the Superintendent’s Office. Proof of residency documentation must be submitted and the High School Assignment Form must be signed/authorized prior to beginning the high school registration process. No student will be allowed to attend high school in the district without a signed “High School Assignment Form”.
If you would like to volunteer or chaperone at any of our district schools, you must be fingerprinted at the SAU office. Please contact your school for the proper procedure and then make an appointment with us to spend time in your child’s classroom.
